Fine Art Print - Syzygium smithii

from $20.00

The fruit of this lilly pilly caught my eye, as well as the deep green of the shiny leaves. I created this piece after being inspired by the sketches of Australian natural history artist William T. Cooper. While famous for his intricately detailed paintings of Australian birds, William T. Cooper also kept botanical sketchbooks and many of his pages are simple line drawings with just one section of the sketch done in full colour and detail. I think this is a nice way to bring attention to one part of a subject, emphasising a particular colour or texture within the composition.

Fine art print on 280gsm cotton rag paper with archival pigments, printed locally in Samford Valley, Queensland, Australia.

Size conversion:
A5 = 5.8 x 8.3 inches
A4 = 8.3 x 11.7 inches
